Use the summary list to summarise a user’s responses at the end of a form

When to use this componentWhen not to use this componentHow it works

When to use this component

The summary list is used to summarise a user’s responses at the end of a form. A summary list must be used if the form is more than 3 concepts long or contains any form of calculation such as the total value to be paid.

When not to use this component

The summary list is not needed for simple forms. If the form is easily followed or is under 3 concepts avoid creating another click for the customer.

How it works

Summary list is a component to present pairs of related information, known as key-value pairs, in a list. The key is a description or label of a piece of information, like ‘Name’, and the value is the piece of information itself, like ‘John Smith’.
