When to use this component

Use this block to let users know they have completed a transaction. The page title must match the process the customer has completed followed by ‘submitted’. For example, Application submitted.

How it works

Application submitted

Your reference number
bb6b15c0

We have sent you a confirmation email.

Your application has been sent to Children’s Social Care for review.

Confirmation email

A confirmation email should also be sent to the customer if they supply an email for receipt.

Your confirmation email must include:

  • a reference number, if there is one. A unique one can be generated using the getID endpoint in iCM forms
  • the payment reference number if the customer has made a payment in the form
  • details of what happens next and when
  • link to how we use your data (Service privacy notice)
  • links to information or services that users are likely to need next

Things to remember

Confirmation pages reassure users that they have completed a transaction and helps them understand what to expect next.

Your confirmation page must include:

  • a reference number, if there is one. A unique one can be generated using the getID endpoint in iCM forms
  • the payment reference number if the customer has made a payment in the form
  • details of what happens next and when
  • links to information or services that users are likely to need next

Your confirmation page could also include:

  • if there is a chance of multiple forms being completed at once. For example, work on a highway include ‘submit another request/application’.
  • meaningful information to reassure the customer their interaction has been successful. For example, payment status from Adelante.
  • meaningful information the customer could use to chase their interaction with us. For example, the pothole incident ID from Confirm.
